The π bench was developed from speculation on the themes of structural rigidity and formal slenderness. Two folded plates carried to the resistance limit of the thickness of the material compose with the central beam the physical and formal structure of the part. An allegory to the big spans of modern architecture that brings the furniture of the architectural vocabulary closer together.
Executed in SAE 1006 carbon steel plate with polyester paint finish epoxy varnish allows a variety of finishes and may, in addition to the leather option, have the wood or stone seat when used outdoors. When used indoors, it proposes a sensorial contrast between the rigidity of the metal and the softness of the leather. The metal cylinder, continuously molded to the plate, offers the playful possibility of filling this void according to the inventiveness of the user.
