Located in the district of São Conrado (Rio de Janeiro), this apartment floor plan modified during the building construction, in compliance with the requirements schedule set forth in conjunction with the customer, an art collector, and by virtue of the specific demands arising from said activity.
Two key points guided the deployment of the architecture and ambiance design: the incorporation of the landscape and the natural light, in addition to the concept of interior architecture as a background for displaying and contemplating the works of art.
Great prospects unfold to the observer, enabling an integration between indoors and outdoors, with full visual permeability between architecture and landscape.
Natural sunlight floods into all the spaces, without impairing the preservation of said works, in view of the glass curtains used in the design.
Speaking of the fullness and emptiness of ambiances, a massive aluminium bench, with frosted finishing, is the backdrop/seating for both the artworks and the exhibition guests, establishing and defining special relationships of admiration, for the internal and external aspects of the works.
In this project, the work of art is not an accessory. The work of art and the viewer are a body to be celebrated in a space specially designed to receive them, allowing a location transience to the piece, creating possibilities for replacement and reoccupation, which makes such a big impact on a great collector.
